What better way to give back than to enrich the minds of the youth? Since its creation, Remote Interprofessional Student Education also known as RISE has helped to better the lives of over a hundred K-12 students by furthering their education.
The organization was created in the height of the COVID pandemic by passionate Philadelphia medical students who cared deeply about supporting their community. The pandemic significantly disrupted education worldwide, with its effects more pronounced in areas facing existing challenges limiting students' access to the resources needed to graduate and pursue higher education. Since its inception, RISE has expanded to over 15 K-12 schools and partnered with numerous local nonprofits and medical schools to broaden its impact.
By remaining a free organization, RISE set out to help breakdown education disparities and support students facing challenges in underserved communities. Since 2020, volunteers have continued to provide free tutoring and mentoring services to students in Philadelphia and South Jersey. At RISE, we believe that education should be a right, not a privilege–accessible to all. By donating to RISE Philadelphia, you can directly support the education and future success of the students we serve. Donations help to keep the website up and running and are vital to keep the organization available for those in need.
